Elective Home Education: conversations with parents and carers

Swindon is continuing to see increasing numbers of children and young people becoming electively home educated. This is an important decision for families and therefore they need to make an informed decision. To support schools having a conversation with parents and carers we have produced a briefing note available from the Swindon Hub for Education:

Please note schools should not persuade parents to electively home educate as this may be considered as an ‘off rolling’ situation.
