Tricky Topics LAUNCH- How a VAWG recommendation became Plymouth’s campaign about online porn
6 December. 12 to 12.45
Join Together for Childhood and Plymouth Council’s Youth Participation Team for the launch of ‘Tricky Topics’ a new, free resource to support young people’s understanding and access to information and support with online porn. Aimed at 11 to 13 year olds, and developed as part of a city-wide campaign in response to a VAWG recommendation to kick start conversations around online harms, young people have worked to create the resources they would have liked for their peers.
Recommended for:
- Secondary school educators
- Youth workers, practitioners and organisations supporting 11 to 13 year olds.
At this session you will:
- Hear from young people (via video) why they wanted to create these resources.
- Hear from the professionals that supported them to share the wider context of the campaign.
- Receive access to the free resources and support on how to use them.
Although these resources are Plymouth-based, they are free and available to all.
