Youth Endowment Fund - Families First Programme
Interventions on offer
- Youth work, mentoring and group work, as well as 121 interventions for children and young adult via referral form following confirmation that the initial screening has been accepted.
- Support for parents and families.
- Family group conference for children at risk of serious violence, exploring wider family/support networks to increase safety and manage presenting risks.
Referral Criteria
- The programme will run until the end of March 2025.
- To ensure the timely completion of at least 12 weeks interventions we will not accept any new referrals after the week commencing January 5th, 2025.
- Only for ages 10-20.
- Children who have an allocated key worker or social worker across tiers 2,3,4 and young adults who are open to National Probation Service (NPS) or have been open to NPS.
- Children & Young adults must live in the following areas: Liden, Eldene and Park South; Gorse Hill & Pinehurst; Penhill & Upper Stratton; Walcot & Park North.

Bereavement
The following organisations can provide support to pupils around bereavement:
- Rethink:

- Treehouse: peer group support and one-to-one support.
- Cruise – phone support from age 6
- Daisy’s Dream: one to one support, family support, group support.
