Information for governors

Governors! How are you involved in Healthy Schools? Your contribution is extremely valuable. Governors are in a position to make positive changes for the whole school community. There is no doubt that we all have the wellbeing of children and young people at the heart of our work. Gaining Healthy School Status celebrates the school's achievements in promoting this but it is an ongoing process which can continue to develop to reflect the changing needs of the school community.

As Governors, you have a wonderful opportunity to support your school with the Healthy Schools Programme. Some schools have a governor with responsibility for Healthy Schools. Even if you do not have direct responsibility for the programme within your school, you can make a difference.
